Berwick Police Chief David Leonard reports the following arrests:
John Adam Gisclair 53 yoa. of Raceland, LA., was arrested on Friday June 25, 2021 at 8:36 am for the following charge:
- CONTRIBUTING TO THE DELINQUENCY OF A JUVENILE
On Friday June 25, 2021 Detectives and officers with the Berwick Police Department conducted an undercover operation involving an online social media application. During the course of the investigation, investigators made contact with Gisclair via an online social media application where he made arrangements to meet with who he believed to be a 15 year old female. On Friday morning at approx. 8:23 am, Gisclair arrived in Berwick at the arranged meeting location and officers subsequently took him into custody without incident. Gisclair was transported to Berwick Police Dept. where he was booked into the Jail on the charges. He later posted a bond of $1,000.00 and was released.
Lennis Ross Paray 36 yoa. of Fourth St. Berwick, was arrested on Saturday June 26, 2021 1t 12:33 am for the following charge:
- VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER
On Saturday morning at approx. 12:20 am Berwick Officers received a call from a resident on Fourth St. in reference to a subject causing a disturbance at the residence. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Paray who was not supposed to be around this residence due to an active protective order against him. Officers were able to confirm the protective order was still active and they placed Paray under arrest. He was transported to the Berwick Jail where he was booked on the charge. Paray remains in jail awaiting for bond to be set.
