Berwick Arrest Report 4-27-2020
Berwick Police Cheif David Leonard reports the following arrests:
Devin Leblanc W/M 18 yoa. of River Road Berwick was arrested on Saturday April 25, 2020 at 8:41 pm for
- BATTERY OF A DATING PARTNER (CHILD ENDANGERMENT)
On Saturday April 25, 2020 at approx. 8:24 pm Berwick Officers were dispatched to a residence on River Road for a Domestic Disturbance complaint. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the victim who had a black eye and bruising on her arms. The victim indicated that her boyfriend who was identified as Devin Leblanc was the one responsible for the injuries. After further investigation and speaking with Leblanc, it was determined that he would be arrested for committing the battery on his girlfriend. Therefore Leblanc was placed under arrest and later transported to Berwick jail where he was booked on the charges. Leblanc was later transported to St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center where is currently being held awaiting his bond.
W/M Juvenile 13 yoa. was arrested on Sunday April 26, 2020 at 7:50 am for
- THEFT (ATTEMPTED)
- CRIMINAL TRESPASS
- ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF TOBACCO UNDER 18 YOA.
On Sunday April 26, 2020 at approx. 6:50 am officers with the Berwick Police Dept. were dispatched to a residence on Rose St. in reference to an attempted theft of a bicycle. While enroute, officers located three juveniles on River and all admitted they were coming from Rose St. After further investigation, the complainant was able to identify one of the juveniles as trying to steal her bicycle. The juvenile that was identified as being on her property trying to steal the bicycle and was placed under arrest. He was transported to Berwick Jail where he was booked on the charges. He was later released to the custody of his parents pending juvenile court proceedings.
