Berwick Arrest Report 3-16-2020
Berwick Police Cheif David Leonard reports the following arrests:
Tarell Boulanger B/M 28 Guzetta Dr. Berwick was arrested on March 13, 2020 at 9:30 PM for
- IMPROPER EQUIPMENT
- DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION
- IMPROPER DISPLAY
Brian Weston B/M 32 Fourth St. Berwick was arrested on March 13,2020 at 9:30 PM for
- POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
- POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
On March 13, 2020 at approximately 9:00 PM a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for multiple traffic violations. It was learned that the driver Boulanger’s driver’s license was suspended. Weston who was a passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of Marijuana and items of paraphernalia. Both were placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department. Boulanger was booked on the charges of Improper Equipment, Driving Under Suspension, and Improper Display. Weston was booked on the charges of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Boulanger posted and $387.00 bond and was released. Weston posted a $3,500.00 bond was released.
Donald Mcpherson B/M 41 Gladys Ave. Beaumont Tx. was arrested on March 14, 2020 at 2:51 AM for
- SPEEDING 50/30
- DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED FIRST OFFENSE
On March 14,2020 at approximately 02:41 AM a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for speeding. Officers made contact with the Mcpherson who showed signs of being impaired. Field sobriety tests were conducted which he performed poorly on. Mcpherson was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department where he submitted a breath sample of .125G% BAC. Mcpherson was booked on the charges of Speeding 50/30 and Driving While Intoxicated First Offense. Mcpherson posted a $3,000.00 bond and was released.
Warkel Favors B/M 30 Hwy. 182 Berwick was arrested on March 14, 2020 at 9:33 PM for
- DOMESTIC ABUSE BATTERY
On March 14, 2020 at approximately 9:07 PM officers responded to a disturbance at a residence on Hwy. 182. Through the course of the investigation it was learned that Favors committed a battery on his girlfriend during an altercation. Favors was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department where he was booked on the charge of Domestic Abuse Battery. Favors remains incarcerated awaiting bond to be set.
Anthony Hudson Jr. W/M 52 Hwy. 182 Morgan City was arrested on March 14, 2020 at 9:50 PM for

David Vargas- Martinez H/M 40 Hwy. 182 Morgan City was arrested on March 14, 2020 at 9:50 PM for
- POSSESSION WITH THE INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE SCH II METHAMPHETAMINE
- OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE
Oscar Elizondo H/M 33 Victor II Blvd. Morgan City was arrested on March 14, 2020 at 9:50 PM for
- CONSPIRACY TO DISTRIBUTE SCH II METHAMPHETAMINE
- POSSESSION OF SCH IV XANAX
- POSSESSION OF SCH I MARIJUANA
- POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
- 3 ST. MARY PARISH WARRANTS FOR FAILURE TO APPEAR
On March 14, 2020 at approximately 8:40 PM an officer observed a vehicle traveling closer than a safe distance from another vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and learned that the license plate was expired. During the course of the stop it was learned that the driver Hudson Jr.’s license was suspended. Elizondo and Vargas- Martinez were identified as passengers in the vehicle. Vargas- Martinez was found to have methamphetamine destined to be sold concealed on his person. A search of the vehicle was done at which time more methamphetamine, Xanax, and drug paraphernalia were located. Elizondo was found to have marijuana on his person and had several active warrants. Through the course of the investigation it was learned that Elizondo had arranged for drugs to purchased and sold. The three were placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department. Hudson Jr. was booked on the charges of Following Too Close and Expired License Plate. Vargas-Martinez was booked on the charges of Possession with the Intent to Distribute Sch. II Methamphetamine and obstruction of justice. Elizondo was booked on the charges of Conspiracy to Distribute Sch. II Methamphetamine, Possession of Sch. IV Xanax, Possession of Sch. I Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and 3 Failure to Appear Warrants for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office. Elizondo is being held without bond and Martinez was transported to St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Hudson remains incarcerated with a $252.00 cash bond.
