Berwick Arrest Report 1-6-2020

Berwick Police Chief David Leonard reports the following arrests:
DWIGHT BLACKBURN B/M 40 Prairie Rd. North Franklin was arrested on January 4, 2020 at 12:50 AM for

  • DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION
  • NO TURN SIGNAL

On January 4, 2020 at approximately 12:27 AM an officer in the area of US Hwy. 90 observed a vehicle traveling West that failed to use a turn signal. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with Blackburn. During the course of the stop it was learned that Blackburn’s driver’s license was suspended. Blackburn was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department where he was booked on the charges of No Turn Signal and Driving Under Suspension.
BAILEE LOUPE W/F 19 Chester Bowles St. Morgan City was arrested on January 4, 2020 at 3:59 PM for

  • POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I CDS MARIJUANA
  • POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE II CDS ADDERALL

On January 4, 2020 at approximately 3:34 PM a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for a traffic violation. Loupe was identified as a passenger in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted at which time Marijuana and Adderall pills belonging to Loupe were located. Loupe was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department where she was booked on the charges of Possession of Schedule I Marijuana and Possession of Schedule II Adderall.
SUNDAY JANUARY 5, 2020
JASON JOHNSON W/M 35  Shoreline Dr. Austin, TX was arrested on January 5, 2020 at 02:05 AM for

  • DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED FIRST OFFENSE REFUSAL

On January 5, 2020 at approximately 02:04 AM a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for suspicious activity. Officers made contact with the driver who was identified as Johnson. While speaking with Johnson a strong odor of alcohol was detected coming from his breath and person. Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department where he refused to submit a breath sample. Johnson was booked on the charge of Driving While Intoxicated First Offense Refusal.
