Bernice Street Residents To Offer Annual Holiday Tour

Residents of Bernice Street in Morgan City will stage their 36th annual “Christmas
by Candlelight” on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm. If for
some reason it rains, we will try to reschedule for the following Saturday.
Santa Claus will be on hand to visit with children and parents are encouraged to
bring their cameras. Cornerstone Ministries (under the direction of Herb and Anita
Stanley) will provide the popular puppet show. Other musical entertainment will be
available as well.

Refreshment tables will be located at designated homes along the street for those
wishing to tour and view the decorations on foot.
Those wishing to view the lights may walk or ride through. Traffic will flow one
way, entering at Cottonwood Street and existing on Redwood Street.
A container will be placed at the Cottonwood Street entrance for donations of
canned goods or money that will be donated to St. Mary Outreach for distribution in
the community.

We will also have a popcorn station with fresh popped popcorn and the train. With
saying that…we have decided to try and help the families put food on their tables at
Christmas time by asking for a donation of a canned good, box, bag or any nonperishable food product to make their Christmas morning complete. You will need
one (1) item to board the train for a ride.

PLEASE NO PARKING ON STREET, NO BICYCLES OR SKATEBOARDS, NO
RIDING TOYS FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY!!
