Baldwin Man Charged With DWI 2nd Offense

On 7-12-20, Arthur Collins, 49, Mary Garret Road, Baldwin, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated 2^nd offense, speeding, driver must be licensed, a fugitive warrant for Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for misdemeanor trial for speeding, and a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for probation review for DWI 1^st offense.

He was transported to the parish jail.  An officer observed a vehicle speeding and conducted a traffic stop.  During the traffic stop, it was learned Collins was impaired and had active warrants and was arrested.
