Assumption Parish Warning Residents About Packages

From the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office:

If you receive items by package in your mail box you did not order,you should return to sender without opening or dispose of it in the outdoor trash.This includes seeds,perfume,cologne,lotions,diapers,coins,food item samples,etc.

If you did not order it,we urge you not to open it.We have received complaint’s in recent days of coins and seeds being received by resident’s.Although the complaint’s have been few of this nature,we issue this warning as a precautionary measure.If you receive packages of such items,please feel free to contact us at 985-369-2912.
