Assumption Arrest Report 1-14-2020

Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the following arrests:
Glenn Paul Naquin, 43, of 4002 Highway 70, Pierre Part, LA, on a probation violation.
Glenn Paul Naquin was convicted of possession of meth-amphetamine on December 27, 2019. Naquin was sentenced to 3 years at hard labor, suspended and place on supervised probation for 3 years.
Naquin was ordered to comply with special conditions and failed to do so. As a result, a warrant was issued for Naquin’s arrest by the Department of Corrections, Division of Probation and Parole.
Naquin was arrested by Sheriff’s deputies in Pierre Part on Saturday. He was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Probation Violation
Glenn Paul Naquin was incarcerated without bond.
Gregory Irvin Johnson, 59, of 214 Fandall Street, Gibson, LA, on felony drug charges related to a traffic stop.
On Sunday evening, an I.C.E. Unit officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on Aristle Road in Bayou L’Ourse and initiated a stop of the suspect vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the driver. The deputy then interviewed the passenger, Gregory Irvin Johnson. As a result of that interview the deputy was suspicious of criminal activity and requested a K-9 Unit.
The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of drugs. A subsequent search yielded numerous illegal substances which were attributed to Johnson.
Gregory Irvin Johnson was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Klonopin (Clonazepam)
*Possession of Xanax (Alprazolam)
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession, Sale or Distribution of a Legend Drug without a Prescription
Johnson was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
