Arrest Made In Jeanerette Shooting

On April 17, 2020, Officers with the Jeanerette Police Department responded to the 600 block of Kern St in reference to a shooting! Upon arrival it was learned that a male juvenile victim had been shot in the neck area. During the investigation a suspect was identified as Terrance Ledet. During the interview process it was learned that Terrance and the juvenile victim were horse playing when the gun went off striking the juvenile.

Terrance was placed under arrest for negligent injury, illegal discharge of a weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
