All Assumption Parish Government Offices Closed To Public Beginning Wednesday

The Assumption Parish Police Jury met in an Emergency Meeting on Tuesday night to discuss the Governor’s current Executive Order relative to COVID-19 and parish protocols specific to this Public Health Emergency.
Assumption Parish said that it is in the best interest of all citizens and employees, beginning tomorrow morning, entry to all parish government offices will be prohibited. Doors will be locked and contact information will be posted on the doors of each facility. If there is immediate business, including permits, that must be handled, the appropriate staff person will meet with people outside of the office. The parish said this includes Parish Administration Building/Federal Programs (4813 Hwy 1), Public Works (141 Hwy 1008), OEP/Permits (105 MLK Dr) and the Community Center (4910 Hwy 308) all located in Napoleonville. People are encouraged to use phone and email to conduct business.
