Shooting At An Illegally Open Bar Under Investigation In New Iberia

According to the New Iberia Police Department Police Chief Todd D’Albor, four people were injured after shots were fired in a night club that was illegally open in the 1700 block of Center Street early Sunday morning.

Shortly after 1 a.m., officers responded to a call reporting gunfire at Club Unique. Chief D’Albor said that the club was open in violation of a state mandate closing all bars during Phase 2 of the COVID-19 recovery.
